Ride the Rockies- Two Days to Go

Ride the Rockies (rtr) is a 465 mile with 40,000 feet of climb bicycle ride across Colorado. I won or as Jamie said lost the lottery to ride with 2,500 other riders. The ride starts Sunday morning from Grand Junction and goes thru the Colorado National Monument for an easy but beautiful first day of riding.

I started driving from Waukegan Illinois at 6am and hope to get over 900 miles of driving in today so I can get to Grand Junction by early afternoon on Saturday.  My wife Pam and Dog Brandy are along and will be driving our support vehicle (Brandy will not be driving but she will be fetching a few beers on the trip). It is about 10am and we have been driving for 3 hours and getting close to the Cedar Rapids exit.  It has been raining on and off and should clear soon.
