Ride the Rockies 2017 – Day After

Thanks for reading my 7 day bicycle adventure blog of me riding along with 2000 other bicyclist across Colorado in this years Ride the Rockies. This year’s ride included the epic bicycles ride from Durango to Ridgway which included 3 mountain passes near 11,000 feet. The ride also included Wolf Creek Pass on the first day and Monarch Pass on the last day.

I manage the ride with only minor chapped lips and minor sunburn. My cold went away after a week and my legs got stronger over the week.

After the ride we spent the night with freinds from Illinois that moved to Colorado. It was nice getting caught up and having a home cooked dinner and sleeping in a real bed.

I am writing this last blog of this trip on my 1,000 car ride back to Illinois. This trip will get me ready for my 2,900 mile transcontiontal bicycle trip I am planning in September. Stay tune for that blog in September.

Finally I want to thank the Denver Post, staff and all the volunteers for making this ride possible.
