Bicycling Across America 2017 – Halfway Report

It’s day 14 and we have completed 1497 miles with 1405 miles to go. It’s been a great journey, everyone has been wonderful and the weather has been great. It only has rained on a few.

To summarize the trip the first 4 days were suppose to be easy to get everyone into shape. Most of the bicyclist say that day 2 and 3 were the most difficult because of the heat of the California desert. The next 5 days were challenging with major climbs and long distances. The reward for this was beautiful scenery. The last 5 days had less climb and worked good as recovery days. Two of the days had strong tailwinds with fast times.

Thanks for reading my blog and hope you enjoy the next 13 days.
