Bicycling Across America 2017 – Day 21

Today’s ride was 99 miles with 2000 feet of climb. My average was 16 mph we still had some head wind but the wind speed was less than 10 mph so it was a good day.

The first half of the day was on the flat bottom land. The elevation was at 120 feet above sea level and didn’t vary by more that 10 feet for the first 47 miles except going over the Yahzoo River.

The 2nd Sag was in the middle of the road just before the closed bridge to thru traffic.

We saw an alligator adjacent to the bridge construction.

The second half of the ride went back to rollers. It was a beautiful clear blue day. The weather has been great for the whole trip with the exception of only having a few days of tailwind.

We have a fun time going for ice cream and dinners. Our dinner conversation normal degrade to talking about chamois cream.
